BIOGRAPHY

Vincent Appiah popularly known by his stage name ‘Kofi Busia’ was Born and raised in the Bono region of Ghana; West Africa on September the 3rd 1993.

He developed an early interest in drumming when he would go to band sessions and concerts in his locality and come back home imitating what he heard on anything he finds at home that can produce percussive sound. From beating on tables and utensils he took it a step further to playing in school brass bands. He skillfully played all the drum instruments; from snare to tenor drum, cymbals and all the brass band drum family.

He started with the drumkit about age 8 when someone discovered his desire and passion for percussive instruments and thought he would do well on the drums. He picked it up so fast to their surprise and amazement and since have been drumming with utmost joy and passion.

He began professionally playing with fusion bands, recording artists and musical groups at age 18. He has professionally worked with groups such as Kumasi Alive Band, Psalmist Praise Incorporated, Christopher Asare Band, Royal Celebrants and recording artists Ama Grace and Christopher Asare.
